What Causes Oral Yeast Infections?
Oral
yeast infections are not an uncommon problem and in most
cases it can be quite painful. Oral yeast infections are
caused by yeast fungus commonly known as Candida albicans
which reside naturally in most parts of the human body including
the mouth. However, when there is a disruption in the natural
balance, Candida can multiply excessively and cause infections.

small children, there’s an imbalance of bacteria in

peroxide to treat a gum infection. This substance is effective
against gum infections but if it’s used continuously
for two weeks, it can cause yeast infections. This
infection is usually typified by white tissues which
form in the mouth.
The
condition can be very painful if the white patches are rubbed
as it causes inflammation of the tissues. It can also make
eating uncomfortable especially while taking salty and spicy
food. In some cases, the patients are not even able to eat
anything because the condition becomes so severe.
Oral
yeast infections can be treated with anti fungal agents,
but it is highly recommended that you take the necessary
precautions to avoid such infections happening in the first
place. It is important to eat a healthy diet rich in vitamins,
minerals and proteins.
